District Governor
 

The District Governor is the top ranking official in the District. Responsible to the District Council, the District Governor upholds and promotes the purpose of Toastmasters International in the District. Some of the District Governor's duties include: preparing District goals and strategies for the District Management Plan; developing programs and plans necessary to become a Distinguished District; organizing and directing the resources necessary to become a Distinguished District; organizing and directing the resources necessary to achieve District goals; appoints District Secretary, District Treasurer, and in some Districts, the Area Governors; calling for periodic reports from Area Governors and Division Governors to determine assistance needed by Clubs; planning and calling District meetings, and serving as chairman at such meetings.
