District 18 Leadership 2011-2012
District Governor
This year once again, We have an extraordinary team of District Officers and Club officers ready to lead us

But what does that mean for YOU … the club member? Actually, it has everything to do with you, because only if all of you are really winning in your clubs and achieving the goals you set for yourself, will we be successful.

I want to encourage each and every one of you to put into Toastmasters as much as you can and reap the extraordinary rewards of Confidence, Ability and Leadership Skills. I want each of you to use your abilities to achieve your goals and dreams.

This will be a year full of exciting challenges and limitless possibilities. I ask you all to continue to follow your goals. I’m sure you all have your communication and leadership goals written down. Remember that if you know where you’re heading the goal is easy to reach. Continue to fulfill your dreams by taking small steps toward the achievement of your goals. If you do so your success is inevitable.

  • Make every speech count. Remember to take your speech manuals to every meeting, including your Competent Leader Manual,
  • Share your passion and your experiences about Toastmasters with those around you in your neighborhood, work place and family
  • Ask your Toastmasters colleagues what their expectations are and see how you can implement those ideas into your club’s environment.

Toastmasters. It’s a dynamic and learning environment where all of us have the opportunity to grow beyond our expectations. So this year I ask you to Learn, Lead and Grow

Lieutenant Governor
Education and Training
Fellow District 18 Toastmasters,

We all joined Toastmasters because we saw in it the opportunity to improve our communication and leadership skills and the many potential benefits having those abilities could bring to our lives. The other District leaders and I are dedicated to seeing you reach those goals and beyond. Our job is to provide you the best training and tools we can as well as an environment and structure of support so that you can take the next step even when you don't know what direction to go. The district's goals are built around those of you the member, and we look forward to walking with you in the direction you set for our organization.

John Comberiate
District 18 LGET

Lieutenant Governor
Marketing
Dear Fellow Toastmasters,

We have an exciting year ahead with several changes including the Toastmasters re-branding along with lots of opportunities for us to develop valuable leadership and communication skills.

Running for the office of Lieutenant Governor Marketing was a giant leap outside my comfort zone. But I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve my fellow Toastmasters and at the same time develop my communication and leadership skills.

I am in the process of building several teams to help with marketing, membership (attracting new and retaining current members), club rescue and new club development. If you are ready to stretch yourself and grow, to step outside of your comfort zone, volunteer to help with one of these teams and help the members, clubs, and the District make our dreams and goals a reality. It doesn’t matter if you are new to Toastmasters or a seasoned veteran we all have something we can contribute to the mission of the district.

By working together we can make District 18 number one in the region.

Thank you for electing me as your Lieutenant Governor Marketing. I am eager to serve and excited about working with you and helping you achieve your goals and dreams.

Sincerely,
Frank Briggs, DTM
Your Lieutenant Governor Marketing
