Ryan Johnson

 

Ryan Johnson is a national security and Defense Department consultant, specializing mobile and wireless device software engineering and military radio systems. Ryan received mechanical eng-ineering degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Maryland, and served nine years in the nuclear submarine service. At the end of the Cold  War,  he participated in  military

operations in military operations during the Bosnia conflict and acoustic anti-submarine research. He became an instructor at the Nuclear Prototype Unit in Charleston, South Carolina, and at the Naval Academy as the Brigade Training Officer.

Ryan currently serves in the Reserves, supporting Naval Sea Systems Command computer simulations and technology demonstrations and exercises. When not consulting, he teaches Microsoft Powerpoint techniques and project management within Booz Allen Hamilton.

He is President of his Toastmasters Club, serves on his Homeowners Association board and local preservation council, leads a den of cub scouts, and has presented research on digital communications and leading edge electronic gadgetry.

Ryan lives in Annapolis with his wife, Stacey and two sons. Their activities include amateur radio, geocaching, scrap-booking, and assisting small businesses with computer security needs.
