has delivered keynote addresses, given lectures, served as an online

government agencies, trade associations, colleges and universities,

Among Alison’s entrepreneurial milestones are

As an employee, Lane has worked as an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of
Legal Programs for Baltimore City College, Baltimore Area Director of
Citizens Scholarship Foundation of America and an attorney for a major law
firm.
Ms. Lane is
a Past President of the Maryland Alliance of Black Women Attorneys. She has
served as a Board Member of the Maryland Legal Services Corporation, United
Way of Central Maryland, Greater Baltimore Urban League and Empowerment
Temple A.M.E. Church, Baltimore.
Alison is a
1998 graduate of the prestigious Greater Baltimore Committee Leadership
Program. Leadership awards bestowed upon Ms. Lane include designation as one
of “Maryland’s Women" by The Daily Record, "40 Under 40 Business
Leaders" by the Baltimore Business Journal, "25 Young Leaders to
Watch" by The Baltimore Times, and an "African-American Achiever" by
the The Baltimore Sun. The Washington Post, Baltimore
Business Journal, Insights for Thursdays and Metropolitan
Business Enterprise have published her legal advice and leadership
coaching columns. Alison was a Co-Founder of sisterwork, a networking forum
for African-American working and professional women and has been a member of
the National Association of Women Business Owners, American Women in
Communications and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.
Lane earned
her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she
received the William Hastie Award for Leadership. Bryn Mawr College
conferred her with a Bachelor's Degree and various awards for academic
achievement and leadership service.
Alison is completing work on a reference book, "Dragon
Boat Lessons: Teamwork Advances Leadership".
