Kevin Phillipson

 

Kevin had his first business at age 12, second business at 17 and in April of 2005 Kevin founded OXYGEN.  OXYGEN provides personalized, focused and results-oriented development programs, stressing the importance life-long learning and continual improvement to teenagers, young adults and business professionals alike.

Kevin currently serves as President of the Free Speakers Toastmasters club in Dover.  He is also the Area 13 Governor for Toastmasters Inter-national.  His speaking engagements include presentations on Building Relationships in Business, Life Skills for Today’s Youth, Cultural Diversity, moti-

vation and various key note addresses.

 

Growing up in South Africa, Kevin played rugby for 23 years.  He has been a coach in high school, college and men’s clubs for the last 12 years.  He founded the Dover Harlequins Rugby Club in Dover, DE in 2000.  Kevin is an avid golfer starting at 14 and played on both college and military teams.

 

I 1994 Kevin presented a First Year Experience program to freshman college students in Minnesota which inspired him to write his book, “Developing Self Esteem for Young Adults” which should be published in 2006.  Kevin is currently working on Master’s in Organizational Leadership through Wilmington College.

 

Kevin immigrated to the United States on August 22nd, 1992 and on December 2nd, 2004 took the oath of allegiance and became a proud citizen of the United States.  He is a single dad of a 6-year old daughter, Victoria Paige, or Torey as he calls her, and a 5-year old son, Tate Spencer.  Wedding bells will ring on April 22nd 2006 for him and fiance Angie.  He has lived in Delaware since Thanksgiving of 1996.  Kevin has been an active member of Rotary International since 2002.
