Grab the Gavel
Do you want to be part of the game that is sweeping the District? You could be the next one to grab the gavel!
Starting on October 1st, seven gavels will be spread around the District, one to a club in each Division. Once placed, you can ‘grab the gavel’ by attending their club meeting and participating in a role. Once completed, you take the gavel back home to your club and report to the District ([email protected]) that you are now in possession of the gavel! Prizes will be given to the clubs that grab the gavel the most times and the club that holds the gavel at the end of the Toastmasters year.
Clubs must have in-person meetings in order to participate.
Clubs that Grab the Gavel 3 times will receive up to a $20.00 prize for their club.
Clubs that Grab the Gavel 5 times will receive up to a $30.00 prize for their club.
Clubs that Grab the Gavel 7 times will receive up to a $45.00 prize for their club.

Ambassador Program
Want to help a club without the full commitment of being a club coach? Join the Ambassador program.
The Ambassador will attend club meetings of selected clubs and give educational presentations dealing with ways to enhance the club experience. These presentations will include an explanation of a certain skill, and then a workshop to practice implementation of the skill. For example, if a club is having trouble converting guests into members, the education session will talk about the point of view of the guest and how important it is to ask them clearly and plainly to join the club and provide the right resources to effectively help them sign up right at the end of the meeting.
The Ambassador then follows up with the club after a meeting or two to verify that the adapted skill is still being put into practice and retrain if needed.
