The election of District 221 leaders will take place during the District 221 Council Business Meeting: Wednesday, April 29 at 7:00 PM EDT.
We encourage all members—especially District Council voting members—to review the candidate biographies, and Candidate Showcase recording in advance of voting.
Additional information will be sent to voting members including the agenda, voting instructions, registration details, and the proposed alignment of clubs.
Candidate Showcase
All candidates will participate in a virtual Candidate Showcase: Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00–9:00 PM EDT.

This event provides an opportunity to hear directly from candidates and better understand their vision for District 221. The showcase will be recorded and made available for those unable to attend.
Floor Candidate Process
In accordance with Toastmasters International policy, qualified members may be nominated from the floor during the District Council Business Meeting.
Per Toastmasters International Protocol 9.0 (items 4E & 4F), when the District Leadership Committee (DLC) does not nominate the required number of candidates for an office, the report is considered incomplete. In such cases, qualified candidates may run from the floor for those positions.
For the District 221 election, this includes:
- Club Growth Director
- Division Directors: Division A, Division B, Division G, and Division J
Additionally, any candidate who was interviewed by the DLC, but not nominated, may run from the floor for the position(s) for which they were evaluated.
Floor Candidate Eligibility & Requirements
To be considered as a floor candidate, individuals must:
- Meet all eligibility requirements as defined by Toastmasters International
- Submit all required documentation by the deadline, including:
